As Anti-semitism in the Palestine Solidarity Movement has all but vanished the purpose of this blog has become redundant

Over the past 3 months, posts have become rare on this site.  Other commitments have compounded this problem.

When the Blog started in January 2008 Gilad Atzmon, supported by the Zionists, was running wild over the solidarity movement entrapping not a few people who believed that what Israel was doing was a consequence of something inherently

Today, except at the fringes, Atzmon is a discredited figure.  In 2012, a holocaust denier Frances Clarke-Lowes was expelled from PSC to the fury of the Zionists and Harry’s Place. As I argued then, Atzmon was a deliberately divisive character whose main objective was to cause disharmony inside Palestine Solidarity.  He failed.

Jewish rather than the Zionist settler-colonial movement.  It is like saying that White Supremacy in South Africa had something to do with the genetic make-up of the coloniser

As BDS goes from strength to strength – with Stephen Hawking, the latest prominent figure to join the campaign, Atzmon rails in his seclusion, making occasional outbursts attacking BDS as being ‘Jewish’.

In May 2013 the situation has changed.  Indymedia woke up, the original cause of allegations of anti-Semitism and eventually learnt the lesson.   The movement has taken off.  My greatest privilege was speaking at UNISON’s 2007 and 2008 AGMs where a total boycott was passed by over 80%. of conference.

speaking at PSC Conference

Sadly I don’t have the time or energy to continue, though people can send me individual articles (&; graphics) to put up which I will.  From time to time I hope to post the odd article on my specialism Nazi relations with Zionism during the war rather than covering all stories which others do much better.

I hope you understand.

Hi Tony, You're full of surprises. This blog has been a first port of call for many of us looking for a take on recent developments in the labour movement and in particular on the anti-Zionist front, particularlyly now that their various lawfare fiascos are going so disasterously wrong
The blogosphere will be the worse for this loss, and I hope you will find making your voice heard

Hi Eamonn I didn't want to feel under pressure any more but also, nearly 60, I have increasing health concerns and compared to only 5 let alone 40 years ago when I set off on the anti-Zionist journey, we have come a very long way.

Israel is anathema now, Steve Hawking is boycotting it, so is Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello and many others. Israel and Zionism are toxic.

In my day, many people actually saw Israel as the nearest to socialism!

Our real problem are the Arab rulers and dictators, not least Abbas, who are Israel's main support in the region.

but thanks for your kind comments. I won't abstant from comments by they are likely to be shorter and more pithy.

I'll be very sorry to see you go, Tony. Let me leave you with the words from Uri Avnery's latest column:

"No, the two-state solution is not dead. It cannot die, because it is the only solution there is."

Btw, Avnery figures the Palestinians should get no more than %28. "of historic Palestine"

And to think that I once found him almost tolerable.

Say it's not so . We will miss you . You've been excellent value over the years . Why not retire to Israel . Eilat has great weather all the year round and a short flight to Jerusalem where you could study Torah to your hearts content . Atzmon always figured you would draw your special pension there .

well I guess Cancer is a blessing for you.
Hope you have something worse then that
I hope you suffer for a long time before you die.

    Jew Haters deserve Hell

Shame. I enjoyed this blog. I predict that it will be more of a hiatus than a leaving do, though.

  7. Tony Greenstein on 14/05/2013 at 3:18pm

Well I guess I should post the last comment by a Zionist, one of the saner ones of course. I assume when he refers to himself as 'adolf' he is Zionist or Jewish but equally could be a neo-Nazi. Who knows, who cares, it demonstrates the malevolence of the Zionists' hate filled minds. And people will be happy to know it's not cancer!

  8. Evildoer on 14/05/2013 at 3:51pm

Take care Tony, Atzmon may be gone, but the Tories are still around, so don't go to far!

  9. Tony Greenstein on 14/05/2013 at 3:53pm

have no fear, I shall still be around!!

  10. Gilad Atzmon on 15/05/2013 at 12:51am

Tony, Gilad Atzmon here (for the first time by the way), you must be fuck'n crazy, I can't do it without you.. PLEASE don't GO … oy oy oy vey vey vey…

    Tony

PSC threats have recently managed to get a Jewish Society Ball at St Andrews University cancelled. That's a Jewish Society, not even an Israel Society. So much for the distinction between anti-semitism and anti-zionism. The Jew-haters in the PSC you claim to have opposed are, contrary to your claims, going from strength to strength. That's your real legacy. Your role in creating a habitat for them to flourish won't be forgotten – or forgiven.

  12. Ernie Christ on 17/05/2013 at 1:36pm

40 years! And you have accomplished precisely nothing.

A shatteringly worthless blog chronicling a shatteringly worthless life has staggered to a close due to lack of interest.

Israel is still there Tony. It will be for a long, long time. It matters not a jot what you, or Atzmon, or your comrades at Stormfront and VNN think.

You know who has become "toxic" to the world at large? Your idols in the HAMAS. People have woken up and stopped describing them as "the democratically elected government of Palestine" – despite the PR efforts of you and Sarah Colbourne the world has realised that they are Nazi thugs condemning the Gazans to a future of unbridled misery.

I don't wish you cancer – that poster above is clearly demented – but I will enjoy a laugh at the way you've squandered your life trying (and failing) to encourage hatred and racism.

Bye bye Tony (though someone with your colossal ego won't stray far from the internet, your only source of expression).

Oh, that's sweet! Kiss and make up now, girls! All the best, Tony. And Gilad too. I never signed up to that war, and I think you've more in common than separates you, so get your slippers on and lighten up now.

  14. Tony Greenstein on 18/05/2013 at 7:56pm

Well obviously you were wrong. I always supported a single democratic state in Palestine just as Shin Bet helped create Hamas.

Israel always needs an enemy, preferably one that is anti-Left and Islamic. Hamas is just the excuse for gullible Zionists like you

  15. Tony Greenstein on 18/05/2013 at 8:23pm

It's such a worthless blog that Christ (not Jesus!) keeps trying to post to it!

The blog has been going 6 years not 40 year.

In 40 years we have accomplished a lot. Israel is no longer seen as a beacon for progressive forces. It is rightly seen as a watchdog for the US's interests in the region.

Today Israeli is deligitimised as the victory over UCU and the refusal to go to Israel by Stephen Hawking demonstrates. Fact is you are a big loser but unlike the Afrikaaners couldn't realise it till it was upon it.

E Christ is still avoiding the truth. He was caught out on twitter, we have the screen posts, exchanging friendly messages with the English/Jewish Defence League. Once a fascist, always a fascist.

If the Shutzstaffel (SS) were around today, half the Ernest Christ's would be members. After all Israel too has its master race.

Question is whether Israel lasts 30 years or not as an Aryan I mean a Jewish state.

Hamas are just the latest Israeli enemy. Israel has to create enemies and in 1988 Shin Bet did just that to undermine secular Palestinian nationalism.

PSC have apparently forced the cancellation of a Jewish/Israeli society dance.

The Union of Jewish Students regularly conflate the two and whine that anti-Zionism is really 'anti-Semitism.

The history of Zionist attempts to ban their opponents is legenday (e.g. University of South California & Berkely) e.g. http://azvsas.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/zionist-attempts-to-prevent-ilan-pappe.html

And then you claim, after asserting that all Jews are Zionists, the Chair of SOAS J Soc was removed a few years ago for not being a Zionist, that people take you at your word.

I've no problem with racist events being banned. Was there no Israeli produce presence or Israeli flag?

What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Stop squawking that you are getting the same treatment as Palestinian supporters have on campus.

I've found your blog very interesting and informative. I know that when I do a Google search for something like Zionism or Hasbara, your name comes up pretty often, and I think that means that what you say gets repeated.

There's been quite a shift over the past few years. Supporters of Israel and Zionism aren't as strident and confident. I think you've had something to do with that.

As for only being read on the Internet, whether or not that's true, what else is there now but the Internet?

Will be good when you can post but fully understand & thanks for the wonderful articles. Regards, Blake

I hope your health holds. You were among the first to see what was lurking inside Atzmon's rhetoric, and by relentlessly exposing him for what he is – the tawdry shock-jock of Judenhass who's always been his own biggest fan and is now essentially his only one – you've driven him so far into the distance that I think that even his one-time slurpy mindslave Roy Bard doesn't want to talk about him anymore. (Pity ftp had to destroy Indymedia before the penny dropped, but better late than never.)

  20. Ernie Christ on 21/05/2013 at 8:13am

    "Socialist, antizionist, lying racist"

Going to retract your lie, fascist scum?

Nah, you lie then hide, like all fash.

    Fucking pathetic.

Thanks for the effort Tony, I've learnt a lot from you. I think I first noticed you in the comments at one of the big media outlets, so do keep that up if you can….
