When you were elected Leader of the Green Party you overwhelmingly defeated the representatives of the Green Party Establishment. You were forthright in your condemnation of Israel’s Genocide in Gaza, suppor
The result was a massive increase in Green Party membership which more than tripled from 68,000 to over 230,00 today. The popularity of the Green Party [GP] also increased hitting a high of 19%.
Yet today you seem to be back pedalling, conceding to those who want to go back to the days when the GP was a Green Liberal Party.
The question you have to confront is whether or not you want to offer a radical anti-capitalist alternative to the main parties or whether you want to be part of an establishment consensus with Caroline Lucas.?
There has always been a narrow Overton Window in respect of foreign policy – pro-NATO, pro-capitalist, pro-imperialist and pro-Zionist. The pressure to conform is enormous but what else is the Green Party for? Is it there simply to provide a different set of careerists with political careers?
When you stood for leader you were popular with the electorate, the young in particular. This made you unpopular with the racist media who resorted to anti-Semitic cartoons whilst accusing you of anti-Semitism!
The media turned to the Corbyn playbook, indulging once again in an anti-Semitism smear campaign. Rather than standing your ground you gave way to the same forces that destroyed Corbyn’s leadership of the Labour Party.
There was the same trawling of candidates social media, Muslims in particular, as part of a campaign to equate criticisms of Israel with anti-Semitism.
Instead of calling this out you went along with it. Why did you not ask why there wasn’t similar treatment of the candidates of other parties?
You stated that “It is really important that we do not conflate genuine antisemitism with legitimate criticism of an Israeli government which is committing war crimes” So why have you not follow through on this? Anti-Semitism is hostility or prejudice against Jews. It has nothing to do with Israel or Zionism. Unfortunately one of the legacies of Lucas’s leadership is that the Green Party still supports the racist, anti-Palestinian IHRA misdefinition of anti-Semitism.
My Expulsion
On June 29 I was informed by a Rositta Priestly that ‘after proper consideration’ by a ‘consensus decision’ of 7-6 votes, my suspension had become an expulsion.
Longman’s Dictionary defines consensus as ‘an opinion that everyone in a group agrees with or accepts.’ A vote of 7-6 isn’t a consensus but Rositta clearly has difficulty with words.
I was accused of ‘repeated instances of anti-Semitism’ even though this had not been mentioned as a reason for my initial suspension. No evidence was provided to substantiate this.
For non-Jewish Zionists to accuse anti-Zionist Jews of anti-Semitism is the quintessential definition of anti-Semitism. Non-Jewish Zionism has its origins in Christian Zionism with its belief in the Return of the Jews, which is anti-Semitic in so far it rests on the belief that Jews don’t belong where they are.
My expulsion illustrates nothing so much as the broken down, incoherent and arbitrary nature of the GP’s disciplinary procedure and the way it is being used to settle political scores by people like Laura Eccott, co-chair of the GPC.
What was even more curious was that although the expulsion decision was made on 7 May it wasn’t until 29 June, over 7 weeks later that I was informed of the decision. What possible reason can there be for this delay? Whose approval was necessary before the decision was implemented, since it can hardly have taken Lying Laura seven weeks to fill in a form?
If the decision was referred elsewhere, I would like to know which body gave the go ahead for my expulsion. Were you involved?
Even stranger is the fact that on 23 June I received an email from Priestley, telling me that the GPRC was reviewing all No Fault Suspensions and that the
GPRC want to hear from you if there is additional information you wish GPRC to consider when reviewing your suspension. … the deadline date for you to get the additional information to GPRC, is Tuesday 30th June 2026.
I was therefore being asked to supply information about my suspension when the decision to expel me had already been made! Kafkaesque or what?
I was suspended under clause 4.8 of the Constitution which states that ‘no member may be expelled without proper consideration’. There has been no consideration and no hearing. The reasons for my suspension were just 11 words:
Documented history of antisemitism, including court decisions and recent terrorism charges.
Naturally no documentation has ever been produced because there isn’t any. The ‘terrorism charges’ relate to a prosecution for inviting support for a proscribed organisation, Hamas. The Terrorism Act 2000 is being used to suppress free speech on Palestine and should play no part in a disciplinary process. We can see how ‘terrorism’ is being used against Palestine Action and Palestine solidarity activists. Does the Green Party really wish to associate itself with these police state attacks?
The reasons given for my expulsion bear no relationship to the reasons for my suspension, despite a claim to the contrary.
The first reason given was ‘Multiple breaches of 4.8 suspension’ with no indication of what these might have been.
The assertion of repeated instances of ‘anti-Semitism’ are entirely new. The Green Party must remove Laura Eccott from her position as chair of the GPC. She is utterly dishonest. The fact that the vote was 7-6 suggests that the vote was on political and factional, not factual, grounds.
The third paragraph states:
Despite the repeated instances of antisemitism that led to TG’s suspension, post suspension TG has displayed no contrition or regret, but rather sought to solidify his lack of any regret…
I am not sure what it is I was expected to regret. Being a Jewish anti-Zionist? Being outspoken? This is one long lie. It is as if Laura Eccott, who proposed the expulsion, repeated the first thing that came into her hasbara ridden brain.
Of course I didn’t express any contrition or regret since there was nothing to be contrite about. The final paragraph says I
not only failed to show any regret or remorse, but has sought to portray GPEW negatively….
This repeats the previous paragraph, apart from saying that I had made ‘false allegations’, none of which they particularise.
Because there is no right of appeal I am appealing to you as Leader and the leadership team to set aside this decision as unconstitutional. Otherwise it sets a precedent. The GPC will be able to invent any spurious excuse to expel members.
The decision of the GPC raises questions about the GP’s commitment to internal democracy. When I was singled out by the Jewish Chronicle and Telegraph Green Zionists took this as their cue. Instead of defending me against these attacks the GPC ran with their false allegations.

The Telegraph, the bastion of blinkered colonels and High Toryism attacked me for a quote I made in 2019 when I called Israel ‘Hitler’s bastard offspring’. It was prescient. Who would have believed that Israel would starve Palestinian children to death just as the Nazis did to Jewish children? Who would have believed they would use children as target practice as western doctors coming back from Gaza testify?
I make no apologies for having accurately predicted what Israel would become.
The allegations of ‘anti-Semitism’ by the GPC is disgraceful. I have been involved in organising against fascist organisations for half a century in Brighton. I have written the only history of the Fight against Fascism in Brighton. It is even featured on the website of the Brighton Dome. I have been accused of racism by racists and the GPC has agreed.
As I made clear to Harriet Lamb, the GP CEO, the allegations are defamatory and if necessary I will sue. If this is how the Green Party treats its members, ignoring all pretence at natural justice, then what will you do if you get into office?
The behaviour of the GPC bears a remarkable similarity to the way that war criminal Starmer, the Zionist without Qualification, behaved when he expelled Jewish members of the Labour Party, making Jews five times more likely to be expelled than non-Jews. Are you happy that the Green Party is following his example? As I said in the Jewish Chronicle
‘no-one… has ever been able to quote one single thing that I have said that is antisemitic. That is not surprising since I have been an anti-fascist activist all my life.”
I defy Lying Laura Eccott and her Zionist co-conspirators to provide a quote.
My expulsion is as clear an example of the weaponisation of false accusations of anti-Semitism as there can be. Yet so far you have remained silent.
I was not given the name of the original complainant. They remain anonymous to this day. The GP has issued guidance on responding to a request for anonymity from a complainant.
Usually, the wish for anonymity on the part of the complainant will be inconsistent with the overarching requirement of fairness to the respondent and the complaint cannot therefore proceed.
3. … it would not normally be appropriate for the GPEW to deal with a complaint on its merits if the identity of the complainant is not known to the respondent. Disciplinary proceedings… where the ultimate sanction is expulsion from the party is one category of adjudicative procedures where fairness is a cardinal requirement…. it is a paramount requirement of the law that the procedure of a disciplinary process should be fair to the respondent
4. (a) the person alleged to have done something wrong… is entitled to be told clearly what he or she is said to have done wrong, and to be told what evidence there is to support that charge; and…
6. In practice it is likely to be very rare for a complaint to proceed as far as a hearing without the respondent knowing the identity of the complainant. The decision to anonymise must be balanced with the need properly to investigate
None of this has happened. The GPC under Eccott make the Star Chamber seem a model example of justice.
It is therefore incumbent upon the GP Executive to override the GPC if it refuses to reconsider their decision and to insist on the basic norms of natural justice. It cannot just expel someone because Laura Eccott doesn’t like them.
Zionism is Racism Motion
You now appear to be backtracking over your previous support for the Zionism is Racism motion. According to the Financial Times you are now opposed to debating the motion at the Autumn party conference.
I have no doubt that you have come under concerted pressure from those who would like to return to the previous practice of making Palestine into a human rights question. In other words depoliticising what is political.
The GP has refused to confront the logic of describing Israel as an Apartheid state which is to say the Israeli state should be abolished. The White Supremacist state in South Africa was abolished not reformed. The Nazi state was abolished and too must the Jewish Supremacist state. Why is this so difficult to understand?
In January 2021 B’tselem, Israel’s main human rights group, issued a policy statement. It said that Israel was ‘A regime of Jewish supremacy from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean Sea – This is Apartheid.’ That is what a ‘Jewish’ state means.
In the words of Israel’s Opposition leader Yair Lapid,
‘My principle says maximum Jews on maximum land with maximum security and with minimum Palestinians.”
A Jewish ethno-nationalist state is inevitably a racist state. From its very inception Zionism sought to create a racially pure state. Which is why, Zack, the idea that Zionism has changed from simply seeking a home for Jews to becoming a monstrous genocidal state is wrong. Also it isn’t true.
In 1919 thousands of survivors of the Ukrainian pogroms wanted to enter Palestine but the Zionist Organisation opposed their entry. Chaim Weizmann, ZO President:

Prof. Gur Alroey, a historian at Haifa University, told how
Weizmann preferred productive immigrants over needy refugees and thought the Land of Israel needed strong, healthy immigrants, not refugees weak in body and spirit.
Weizmann even tried to persuade the British to reduce the Jewish immigration quotas. Alroey wrote that ‘The price was paid by tens of thousands of Ukrainian Jews who were murdered during this period. Ethnic cleansing and genocide were present in Zionism from the start.
There is no Israeli nationality because that would mean all citizens were equal. Your religion is your nationality and in a Jewish state, Jewish nationality is everything.
Israel behaves as it does because Zionism is the ideology of the Israeli state which can be summed up in the slogan that Palestine was ‘A Land Without a People for a People Without a Land’. Palestinians have always been invisible.
Israel is the only country in the world that doesn’t define its borders. The reason is because the real name for Israel is Eretz Yisrael which is based onbiblical borders, which are not the same as Israel’s borders. Israel has always sought to expand. It first conquers a territory and when their inhabitants resist Israel exercises its ‘right to self defence’ to expand the borders even further.
A Jewish state meant expelling the Palestinians. Jewish Labour, i.e. a Boycott of Arab Labour, Jewish Land, ie. no Arabs on ‘Jewish’ land and Jewish Produce (not buying Arab goods) were the watchwords of Labour Zionism.
You have stated on more than one occasion that there are different forms of Zionism. This is untrue. There never was a kinder, caring, inclusive Zionism. Zionism was, by its very nature, exclusivist. You stated in an interview that you were
always really aware of socialist Zionism, a small group of people that were always against the eviction of the Palestinians from their homeland
The reason why we have not heard about this offer was that Israel didn’t make such an offer – under pressure it agreed to a limited return of refugees which it quickly retracted and refused to allow a mere 80,000 to return to their original homes and it was conditional on accepting all Israel’s conques
This is untrue. Socialist Zionism was confined to Jews. The kibbutzim, established on confiscated Arab land, were Jewish only. It was the ‘socialist’ Zionists who carried out the Nakba, the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian in 1947-8.

Nor is it true that Zionism is for individuals to define for themselves. Zionism is what Zionism does to Palestinians not what’s in the head of a fragrant, narcissistic Zionist.

Jake Wallis-Simons, the ex-Jewish Chronicle Editor who published fake stories from a fake journalist described the GP as ‘one of the most antisemitic parties in the West.’
Zionism has never opposed genuine anti-Semitism. It was always supported by anti-Semites for whom sending Jews to Palestine was attractive. From the opponents of Dreyfus to the Nazis to Tommy Robinson anti-Semites loved Zionism.
At the recent Board of Deputies demonstration against ‘anti-Semitism’ Nigel Farage of Reform was invited to speak but you, the only Jewish leader of a political party, wasn’t invited.
When Israel’s Diaspora Minister, Amichai Chikli, held a conference two years running in Israel on ‘fighting anti-Semitism’ who did he invite? The world’s leading anti-Semites, such as Jordan Bardella of France, on the basis that no one knows more about anti-Semitism than anti-Semites!
In Germany there was a battle between the Fundamentalists and the Realists in the 1980s and 90s. The latter won out and the rest is history. Today Die Grunen is the most avidly pro-Zionist and pro-NATO party. A party of war not peace. That is the path that you are treading. You can break from Western foreign policy of imperialism or end up being co-opted. What you can’t do is ride two horses going in different directions.
Elise Benjamin – Genocide Denier & Rape Apologist
There are a small group of overtly racist, pro-genocide Zionist Greens such as Elise Benjamin, a former Councillor and friend of Caroline Lucas. What you are going to do about it?
Benjamin’s Twitter feed is a cesspit of racism and racist retweets. She calls supporters of the Palestinians and anti-Zionists in the Green Party ‘racist cranks.’
It is very clear that Hamas couldn’t have destroyed the cars above as it didn’t have the firepower – this was done by hell fire missile fired from Apache helicopters
Israel, from the start of its attack on Gaza, embarked on creating atrocity propaganda in order to justify the ensuing genocide. They made October 7 out, not as an attempt to capture Israeli hostages to exchange for Palestinian hostages, but as a second holocaust.
First it was the 40 beheaded babies hoax that came from Netanyahu’s office before it was discredited. Then there was the story of mass rapes. They too have now been discredited but racists in the Green Party like Elise Benjamin are still running with these stories.
This follows a well worn colonial narrative, that the natives are sexual predators. In The Southern Rape and Lynching ComplexAmy Phillips writes that ‘the justification typically proffered (for lynching a man) was that the victim had raped a white woman.’ This is exactly what Benjamin is doing, providing a justification for Israel’s very real rape of Palestinian men and women.
Benjamin is obsessed with the Nova festival that was taking place near the Gaza fence on October 7. There is no doubt that militants killed some festival goers and kidnapped others. But many others were killed by Israeli Apache helicopters. Ha’aretz reported that:
According to a police source, an investigation of the incident also shows that an IDF fighter helicopter that arrived at the scene from the Ramat David base fired at the terrorists and apparently also hit some of the celebrants who were at the scene.
Because Ha’aretz had printed the truth, Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi proposed that the government end its advertisements in Ha’aretz.
Defense minister confirms army orders to kill Israelis on 7 October
Yet we know from the Israeli Southern District Prosecutor Moran Gaz, who was responsible for handling sexual offenses that there will be no rape prosecutions. Gaz stated that:
“Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to prove these crimes. In the end, we don’t have complainants. What was reported in the media compared to what will ultimately be established will look very different—either because the victims were murdered or because women who were raped are unwilling to come forward.
“We reached out to women’s rights organizations and requested cooperation. They told us no one had contacted them. …
“In this area, I would temper expectations. I know the public is expecting action and understands the need to address the horrific sexual offenses and assaults that occurred, but the vast majority of these cases won’t meet the evidentiary threshold in court, and the criticism will ultimately fall on the prosecution.”
Throughout Gaz assumes thatthere were rapes but by her own admission there was no proof that they ever occurred.
The New York Times article Screams Without Words was almost immediately discredited by the Intercept. Even the NYT’s flagship Daily podcast refused to carry the story.
Elise Benjamin’s Racist Rant

8.15 Benjamin refers to the ‘terrible appalling’ views of Mothin Ali – she agrees he is anti-Semitic and that she will walk out of a room if he is there
9.10 Benjamin refers to the attack of Mothin and others on the Leeds Rabbi – she doesn’t mention the Rabbi went to Gaza to kill Palestinians as part of the IDF
10.06 This is amusing. A Tory Zionist complaining that all the Zionists he knows are on the right and he wants Zionists to be on all wings of the political spectrum! It’s strange that people on the left are no longer enamoured with a genocidal state!
11.36 – Recent Green victories leave Benjamin with a hollow feeling. She can’t feel good over them given how the GP is developing.
13.30 Benjamin lets slip that she is on the National Committee of the Friends of Standing Together which is confirmation that they are a normalisation group and not anti-Zionist.
14.30 An attack on Lubna for speaking at the Al Quds rally – doesn’t mention what she said. It’s all McCarthyist guilt by association.
18.50 The worst give away is when she says of Noam Chomsky ‘I feel like he is a traitor’. Who is he a traitor to? Obviously the Jews. It is no different from the National Front calling us race traitors. We are traitors to our racial kith and kin because being loyal to ‘the Jews’ is more important than universal values. This marks Benjamin out as a racist like nothing else does.
Israel’s VILEST Crime Yet – The Evidence Is Overwhelming
Benjamin’s enthusiasm for making allegations about Palestinian rape is in contrast to her attempts to deny that Israel has raped Palestinian prisoners despite the fact that a mass rape was caught on video in Sdei Teiman by rapists who went on Isrel’s Channel 14 proud of what they had done.
Military Advocate General, Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, who leaked the video of the rape was forced to resign. She was then prosecuted whereas the rapists were readmitted to the IDF. Netanyahu called the whole episode a ‘blood libel’.
Benjamin makes ‘jokes’ about Palestinian prisoners who have been subject to rape by dogs, and completely ignores the copious evidence of the UN Report about Israel’s use of Sexual Torture and Gender-Based Violence.
Benjamin finds the rape of human beings by dogs particularly amusing. The Zionists’ only defence is that this is impossible. However Palestinians say they have been raped. Who should we believe? They are unlikely to make such allegations, given the shame involved, if it were not true. There have been repeated allegations of dog rape.
As Nicholas Kristof’s article in the New York Times The Silence That Meets the Rape of Palestinians proved it does happen and is happening. Kristoff took evidence from 14 Palestinians who had been raped and subject to sexual torture. But to the sick, racist Benjamin it’s a joke.
The rape of human beings also happened in Chile under General Pinochet. Ingrid Olderöck, an open Nazi and the child of Nazis, was a major in the Chilean secret police DINA. Known as the Woman of the Dogs she trained dogs to rape prisoners. The evidence of those tortured should not be questioned. This article from India Today settles the question. It is clearly possible for a dog to rape a human being but Benjamin prefers sick jokes rather than criticising what her beloved ‘Jewish’ state does.
Benjamin loves portraying Israeli casualties of October 7 but not the thousands of dead Palestinians. Liel Hetzroni from Kibbuts Be’eri was not burned by Hamas but the IDF. General Hiram ordered Israeli tanks to shell houses with Israeli captives inside in order to kill their captors. They also killed the captives. This is documented by Israeli papers as part of the Hannibal Directive.
However when it comes to Israeli allegations of rape by Palestinians Benjamin is all ears. She runs with the Zionist rape narrative that on October 7 Hamas engaged in mass rape despite copious evidence to the contrary. A spokesman for Kibbutz Be’eri specifically denied that 3 women had been raped, contrary to the NYT allegation.
The choice is a simple one. To go down the path that Corbyn took by appeasing his critics or to defy the Establishment Stenographers in the media and go direct to the people. But if Zack you rely on advice from Green establishment figures like Caroline Lucas then you will fail.
