Racism is of course the handmaiden of imperialism. And there is no more potent symbol of British imperialism, however fading and decadent, than the Royal Family. Which is why Prince Harry, those stupidity is clearly the result of years of in-breeding, is such a good representative of the Windsors (nee Mountbattenbergs).

As people will remember, he was caught four years ago wearing a swastika to a party. Now it appears he has been calling fellow members of the army ‘Paki’ and ‘raghead’ – both clearly racist and offensive terms.

According to ITN News:

Prince Harry has apologised for calling a member of his army platoon a “Paki”.
[which therefore makes it alright]

A statement from St James Palace said Harry used the remark three years ago as a nickname about a friend and without any malice.

[Ah yes, racism without malice – quite acceptable then – ed]

The Prince had reportedly been caught on video while he was an officer cadet at Sandhurst military academy.

[what? he didn’t own up to his racism?]

It was filmed in front of other cadets at an airport departure lounge as they waited for a flight to Cyprus to go on manoeuvres.

In a separate incident, Harry is heard in the video calling another officer cadet a “raghead”.

[no point in killing Muslims if you can’t use a few stereotypically racist comments about them]

A statement from St James’s Palace said: “Prince Harry fully understands how offensive this term can be, and is extremely sorry for any offence his words might cause.”

[what they really mean is, Harry was told that this is not the 19th century – you can’t do this kind of thing anymore and it will help weaken the monarchy]

It continued: “However, on this occasion three years ago, Prince Harry used the term without any malice and as a nickname about a highly popular member of his platoon.
“There is no question that Prince Harry was in any way seeking to insult his friend.”

[Err quite – would it have been acceptable if it had been used about an unpopular member of the platoon? Naturally Harry wasn’t intending to insult his friend(!). In fact he intended it as a compliment]

The statement added: “Prince Harry used the term ‘raghead’ to mean Taleban or Iraqi insurgent.”

[so another officer was a member of the Taleban or an Iraqi insurgent – i.e. opposed to foreign invaders. Presumably using racist epithets against those you are fighting is acceptable then?]

It is the second time in recent years Harry has had to apologise for causing offence.
In 2005, he wore a swastika armband to a party, which was said to be in “bad taste”.

I’m not sure which is worse – the original remarks or the ‘explanation’ by the Palace.
